Uniqueness of Visva-Bharati Granthana Vibhaga:

1. Visva-Bharati Granthana Vibhaga (Publishing Department) was established in 1923 by Rabindranath Tagore himself.
2. Rabindranath Tagore handed over his publishing rights to Visva‑Bharati Granthana Vibhaga.
3. The publication of ‘Sulabh’, ‘Vishuddh’ and ‘Samagra’ quality editions of Tagore writings is the main objective of Granthana Vibhaga.
4. Visva‑Bharati Granthana Vibhaga is the only University Publishing Department in India which received a   special mention in the OXFORD COMPANION TO THE BOOK. 
5. The department has highly skilled staff members for book publication.Many scholars like Prashanta Chandra Mahalanobis, Rajshekhar Basu, Pulinbihari Sen, Nandalal Bose have devoted their lives to enriching various editions of Tagore writings with critical notes, illustrations, book layout and also Bengali spelling.
