Visva-Bharati commemorated the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram with great reverence and enthusiasm on 7th November at the Conference Hall, Central Library. The event was organized to honour Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay’s immortal creation, which continues to inspire generations with its message of patriotism and devotion to the motherland.The programme began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Nimai Chand Saha, Librarian, Visva-Bharati, who extended greetings to the distinguished guests, faculty members, students, and attendees. This was followed by a soulful rendition of Vande Mataram presented by the students of Sangit Bhavana, led by Dr. Manas Bhul, Assistant Professor, Sangit Bhavana, which set a patriotic tone for the occasion.
