  • BA IN PHILOSOPHY (FYUG)

    The B.A. (Philosophy) Programme aims to equipped students with the tools or conceptual framework necessary for involvement in Philosophical debates and will be self sufficient in respect of participating in Philosophical controversies. They will learn how to relate the core issues of philosophy with the peripheral issues and will be able to contribute something for the total development of the society. They will also develop the habit of reading classic texts in philosophy besides text books as well as the competence of grasping the ideas belonging to the classic texts.

  • MA IN PHILOSOPHY

    The M.A. (Philosophy) Programme aims to provide students with advanced training in Philosophical enquiry, critical thinking and analytical reasoning. It seeks to cultivate a deep understanding of classical and contemporary philosophical traditions, while fostering the ability to engage with complex Ethical, Metaphysical, Epistemological and Socio-Political questions. As a consequence, the students will develop the skill of reading and analyzing classical and contemporary philosophical texts and will be able to engage in meaningful philosophical and dialogues and debates.

  • Ph.D. IN PHILOSOPHY

    The PhD Coursework (Philosophy) programme aims to equip students with appropriate methodologies and frameworks for independent research. The student can select from an array of intensive and in-depth courses, relevant to their Research Interest that help in advanced understanding of research related philosophical issues, identification of research problem and overall development of research acumen.

  • BA IN COMPARATIVE RELIGION (FYUG)

    The B.A. (Comparative Religion) Programme aims to equip the students with textual, conceptual and historical study of world Religions; Study of folk and tribal religious practices; detailed analysis of religious themes like ethics, ecology, mysticism etc.; Philosophical, sociological, phenomenological perspectives on Religion; In-depth study of classical religious texts/books.

  • MA IN COMPARATIVE RELIGION

    The B.A. (Comparative Religion) Programme aims to equip the students with exploration of critical theories of religion and religious concepts, critical methods for study of religion and religious concepts, contemporary religious issues, and writing of an M.A. dissertation based on field-study and/or textual study. Students also choose two optional and two special papers as part of their PG course.

  • Ph.D. IN COMPARATIVE RELIGION

    Scholars require to complete a six-month course work in Comparative Religion followed by writing of a thesis on a subject-appropriate topic agreed upon between the scholar and the supervisor. Vacancies in Ph.D. in Comparative Religion are advertised in the university website once a year with broad areas of interest to work upon clearly mentioned each year.

  • Foreign Casual Course
