• Awarded the Third prize for the essay entitled “Scope of Public Economics for the Environmentally handicapped in South Asia” in the James D. Wolfensohn Essay Competition held as part of the Public Economics course organized at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP), New Delhi between May 29 and June 23, 2006 as part of ‘Promoting Peer Group Dialogue and Monitoring on Economic Management Public Finances in South Asia’ sponsored by The World Bank
• Granted a Scholarship for research presentation and teaching at University of Nijmegen, The Netherlands, 2002
• Research fellowship granted by Jadavpur University from July 2001 to July 2003
