Eligibility criteria for admission to Master of Arts in Education Course (Course code: MAE, Subject code: 802)

Modalities of selection

For external candidates:
External candidates must have passed B.A.(Hons./Major) in Education with at least 50% marks for general, 45% marks for OBC and pass marks for SC&ST candidates in the Honours/
Major subject.

For internal candidates:

Internal Candidates must have passed any of the following:

(i) BSW (Hons.)/B.A. (Hons.) in Philosophy, with 50% marks for general, 45% marks for OBC and pass marks for SC&ST candidates.
(ii) B.A. (Hons.) in any other discipline with 50% marks for General, 45% marks for OBC and pass marks for SC & ST candidates along with Education as a subsidiary subject/ B.Ed with 60% marks for general, 54% marks for OBC and pass marks for SC&ST candidates

 There shall be an admission test for eligible candidates and selection will be made on the basis of merit only which will be determined by the score obtained by candidates out of maximum 100 marks as follows:

  • Date of Admission Test : 24 June 2012 (Sunday)
  • Time : 2 pm to 3 pm (1 hour)
  • Venue : Department of Education, Vinaya Bhavana
  • Candidates are advised to bring all original mark sheets and
    certificates on the day of admission test at 11 AM for verification.
  • The qualifying mark in admission test shall as per University rules.
    Qualifying mark may not be applicable to SC/ST candidates.
  •  Reservations: As per Govt. rules.
   Candidates have to give a declaration to the effect that they are not
employed anywhere. In case of in-service candidates, a certificate from
the competent authority is to be submitted along with application form to
the effect that they will be given study-leave during the entire course of
study.
